A retrospective look at the Net Zero House
- Max Strang
[Sustain] active and passive measures to create a sophisticated approach to this Miami Beach home:
- Exemplified the waterfront lifestyle of Biscayne Bay.
- Sophisticated in its use of passive and active sustainable design.
- Differentiated through energy independence, making this a net-zero energy home.
Deeply cantilevered roofs and balconies provide the home with a striking identity. A warm material palette further differentiates this residence from its neighbors. Panoramic views coupled with pools, cabanas and docks have come to define the Miami Beach experience and the Net Zero House is no exception.
- Tropic Magazine
The two story home offers views of Biscayne Bay and the palm-fringed Di Lido Island to the west. Approaching the home, the front entrance is pushed towards the back of the site, elongating the experience nestled in the site’s landscape. The interior design features a timeless refinement and sophistication.
